Out-of-Town Team Building

Posted in Batangas,Luzon,Malvar,Tanauan, travel by yangiwei on March 11, 2011

Since the showers don't work, the water spouts, if higher, can serve as showers.

KdV is looking for an out-of-town team-building place.  The budget is

P 20,000.   I asked her if this will be for 50 persons.  She said less, since not all will be going.   So I sent her this email:

‘…for how many persons? 40?  30?

Club Balai Isabel

Hotel Kimberly–more expensive through website

Lima Park Hotel’

Ms. Lily Ramos of PNA and Atty. Gay Francisco of FAITH.

Her budget is above P 400 per person, since it’s P 400 per person for 50 pax.

The ballroom can accommodate upto 300 guests.

The least expensive yummy item on the Asian Flavours menu is the Classic Batangas Bulalo Soup.  At P 520, good for two to three persons, that’s about

P 173.33 per person for three persons.  The Thai Bagoong Rice, at P 95, is good but might be bitin.  The ebi tempura might be too pricey. The Korean or Maguro and Wasabe Pizza would make great meriendas. Lima Hotel has function rooms, ballroom, a fitness center, a thrift shop and a pool.

There are two ways in and out of each function room.

Using FAITH‘s facilities might be an option, although it might be impractical because it took us more than an hour by jeep to get to FAITH from Lima Park.

I think that there was a volleyball match in the covered court when we were there.

Speaking of sports, I just remembered that Sales and Events Coordinator Ms. Tracy Quiambao, had told us that Lima Park had a race last February 6, participated in by 1,500 runners

Bloggers Dexter Matilla and Karlo Licudine were two of my five Amazing Race groupmates. Photo courtesy of Groupmate Jehzeel Laurente.

My preferred destination really is Balai Isabel, but that would have to be another post.

Still Dexter Matilla. Still courtesy of my roommate Maki Eduardo and my semi-roommate Jehzlau.

Lima Hotel Reservations

Jayson Biadog wants Lima to include a third roommate for free.

I urged Jayson Biadog to find a roommate early.  He ended up with two roommates, and emailed Lima Park Hotel reservations that maybe the third roommate could be considered a ‘media blogger’ i.e. free of charge.

Our guides.

I advised Jayson to talk with Mary Jane, Atty. Gay Francisco or anyone in the Marketing Department of Lima Park, but I just heard or read maybe last week that there’s a hotel where a third person can stay overnight for free, unlike at Astoria Boracay where the third roommate is charged P 1,000.

Rochelle of

Lima Park

had texted me our confirmation number but unfortunately my inbox was full and her text was truncated.  It was I think

New Year’s Day when she texted me that their

internet connection was down.

This is the only way you can make me go to the gym, no strings.

Jayson, you might want to contact her instead at

Last time I was in a gym was on a Fitness First trial pass.

Incidentally, Mary Jane had emailed me that FAITH was busy with enrollment, that we should hear about the February event by the first week of February.  I told her that since our GCs were expiring in March, that waiting until the first week of February for a date is too close for me.

NQP had asked me what was so exciting about staying in an industrial park.

Should five of us push through, would it make sense to hire a van?

Maybe Lima can play 'tapes' of how to use the machines.
